Shion asks him what he’s going to do, and tells him to stop fooling around. He lifts up the large garden shears and places the blades against his chest. Keiichi tells her to wait, and runs to get something he spotted next to the storehouse.
When he doesn’t do anything, she says that he is all talk, and tears her hand away. Shion tells him that she wants to see it. He catches up to her and grabs her hand, stopping her. Shion says that he’s just saying that, but Keiichi tells her that if she wants to see his real heart, that he’ll rip it out right now. She says that he’s just like Mion, but he insists that he really wants to help Satoko. Shion doesn’t stop, and tells him not to follow her. Shion thinks that he’s defending Mion and runs away. Keiichi reaches out to grab her shoulder to stop her, but she turns around and he ends up slapping her face. Shion starts to storm out of the classroom. Mion tells Shion to leave, and Shion says that Mion is a coward who can’t do anything unless Oryou says it’s okay. Shion says that she tried talking at the Sonozaki main house, but that it was useless. Shion tells Keiichi that Satoko’s parents supported the dam project, so the people of Hinamizawa won’t lift a finger to help her, especially the Sonozakis. Shion says she came to talk to Mion about Satoko, but it looks like she wasted her time. They argue, until Shion suddenly walks into the classroom. Keiichi asks Mion to help Satoko as the future head of the Sonozaki family, but Mion says that she can’t. Rena starts to talk about what Satoshi did to change the situation, but Mion stops her. Rena says that they appealed to the child welfare center last year, but that Satoko denied that she was being abused. Keiichi says that they have to help Satoko, but Mion tells him that it’s not that simple. Their lives were miserable until their aunt was killed and their uncle fled to town, fearing Oyashiro-sama’s Curse.
Keiichi asks Rena about Satoko’s uncle, and Rena tells Keiichi about how Satoko and Satoshi were taken in by their aunt and uncle after their parents died three years ago. Rena thinks of something, and asks Rika if Satoko’s uncle has come back. Keiichi presses Rika further, but Rena stops him. Keiichi asks Rika what’s going on with Satoko, but Rika says that there’s nothing that can be done about it. It starts a few days after Satoko stops coming to school and Keiichi meets Oishi.Īt school, Satoko has been absent for a few days now, and everyone is worried about her.
